The Swarovski ST Balance 14-35x50 Spotting Scope provides super-sharp shake-free, handheld viewing using Swarovision optics in an easy to handle unit. Swarovski Balance scopes use mechanical optical image stabilization to keep you on your bird or target without the need to bring a tripod. 

Mechanical optical image stabilization uses gyroscopic sensors to detect the motion of the scope. This information is transmitted to a moveable lens element which moves to counteract the motion. This technique has virtually no lag so you can stay on your moving subject. To protect the moving lens system, a safety mechanism automatically locks it in the central position if the scope is dropped or knocked over.
